The UAHS PRIDE Health Equity Alliance (formerly the UAHS LGBTQIA+ Interest Group) serves our UAHS Colleges (College of Medicine - Tucson and Phoenix, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Public Health). We work toward creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, residents, fellows, students, and patients. The award committee is allotting six awards to recognize individuals who have led in supporting and providing a safe, accepting, inclusive, and respectful environment for our LGBTQIA+ UA Health Sciences Community and allies. The awards highlight people who have exhibited leadership, excellence, commitment, scholarship, innovation and are instrumental in driving change that addresses the unique health issues to create health equity for the LGBTQIA+ communities.
