The audience will gain a greater understanding of the power of mentorship. A testimony of how a student nurse with imposter syndrome was emboldened to overcome adversities and transition to a nurse champion.


Veronica Vital, Ph.D., RN

Dr. Veronica Vital completed her Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Arizona (UA) and received her BSN and MSN from Arizona State University. She has 23 years of nursing experience in academia, research, pediatrics, women’s health, and community health and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at UA College of Nursing. Dr. Vital has been a member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses since 1997. She is currently the President-Elect of NAHN. Dr. Vital accepted an invitation from the Secretary of the U.S. Office of Health and Human Services to serve a four-year term on the Advisory Committee on Minority Health for the Office of Minority Health and is a member of the Steering Committee of National Minority Cardiovascular Alliance.
