You also can help us kick-off this year’s SJS by attending a free screening of “Health Undocumented” (click to view the vimeo trailer), followed by a thoughtful panel discussion on Thursday, April 4, 6 to 9 p.m., at the UA Health Sciences Innovation Building. Please select this option in the RSVP form mentioned above, if you plan to attend.

Don’t miss this year’s keynote speaker, Enrique Morones, founder and director of Border Angels. The organization advocates for human rights, humane immigration reform and social justice with a special focus on those issues related to Latino issues on the U.S.-Mexico border. His keynote address will begin at 8 a.m., Friday, in Duval Auditorium at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson.

The breakout sessions that follow the keynote will be held in the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.

This free event is open to the public and will engage students, faculty, community members and health professionals in dialogue to raise awareness and foster social change. The Symposium is run entirely by students at the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.

Check out the SJS website or SJS Facebook webpage for more information. We look forward to seeing you there!
