Made It Happen: From Research to Invention to Impact
Lunch-and-Learn Discussions with Entrepreneurial UA Researchers

Presenters:

  • Dr. Rajesh Khanna, Co-inventor, College of Medicine
  • Michael Sember, TLA, Mentor-in-Residence and CEO of Regulonix
  • Lisa Lin, Licensing Manager, College of Medicine

Dr. Khanna, professor of pharmacology, along with assistant professor of pharmacology May Khanna and BIO5 Senior Research Scientist Vijay Gokhale, invented a new class of compounds that have been demonstrated to be more effective than morphine, non-addictive, and non-toxic at high doses.

Join us as we hear from the entrepreneurial research team about their experience identifying and defining their invention, and working with Tech Launch Arizona to commercialize it via their startup, Regulonix.

If you are a faculty member, reseacher, graduate student or UA staff member, this is an excellent opportunity to learn how research can give rise to inventions that can truly change the world. There will be ample time for Q&A.

Please register by September 10 to ensure that we have lunch ordered for you.

If you are unable to join us in person, a remote option will be available.
