The objective of Module 6 is to understand the value of participating in clubs, sports and volunteer work.
If you’re not already involved in a club and/or sports at your school, get involved! Getting involved in extracurricular activities helps you to grow as a person, and to develop talents and skills that will make you a stronger candidate for admission to the school of your choice after graduation.
Getting a job or doing volunteer work while you’re in high school provide similar benefits. If you know you want to work in healthcare as an adult, volunteer at a hospital or clinic. Get some real world experience to learn if healthcare is really for you! Any sort of job, from food service to cashier, demonstrates your ability to handle responsibility. You earn a paycheck while learning and growing: can’t beat that!
